How to apply
If you are interested in applying for any of our current vacancies you will need to complete the RAF Association application form.
Kindly note that CVs are not accepted as applications for the roles.
For every employment role, we write a clear job description (an outline of the job, including a summary of the main tasks and responsibilities) and a person specification (the type of person we are looking for).
Please read and consider the points carefully before deciding on whether to apply, as in order to be invited to an interview for any position you will be required to at least meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification. Please make it very clear on the application form how you feel you meet the criteria outlined the person specification and include, where relevant, any written examples of your experience to support your statements.
Please be aware that we carry out a number of pre-employment checks, depending on the role, including the following:
- Right to work in the UK
- Qualification checks where qualifications are an essential criteria
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks or equivalent for Scotland and Northern Ireland for some roles where you may be working with vulnerable people
- References: we will write to two referees, one of whom will be your last employer
- Occupational health checks for roles such as care worker where you need to be fit to undertake manual handling, or are a night time worker.
