Royal Air Forces Association -
RAF Centenary Service
The Association is holding a special centenary service to commemorate and celebrate 100 years of the RAF. This very significant and large scale event will be held at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Staffordshire, on Sunday 13 May 2018, at 11.00.
You can now book tickets for yourselves and your guests to ensure your places are secured. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. For security reasons the service will be held in a cordoned off area of the site and entry to the service will be by ticket only with photo identification (contact us on 0800 018 2361 if this is an issue).
Tickets are available free of charge, but if your means allow, we would ask you to please consider making a suggested donation of £10 per person to go towards the cost of running the event. Please book your tickets below.
This will be an outdoor, seated event and will include our annual remembrance service. An RAF flypast has been requested as a poignant finale to this key event and light refreshments will then be available. The full itinerary for the day will be posted on this page in due course, but we would like guests to be ready to take their seats at 10.30.

Why not make a day of it?
The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of remembrance and will remain open and free to enter on the day of the service. You can walk or take the land train through the maturing woodland landscape which is home to over 350 memorials. These include the Association’s beautiful RAF remembrance garden, which commemorates all members of our RAF family. Individual loved ones past and present can also be remembered within the garden through special crosses and stones. Crosses must be ordered by Friday 23 March 2018 and stones by Friday 2 February 2018, for them to be placed in the garden in time. For more information, visit our Remembrance Garden page or call Jacqui Mee on 0116 464 5035.
What is the refund policy?
If you have donated in error, please contact 0800 018 2361.
Do I have to bring the printed ticket to the event?
Yes, they will be issued nearer to the event and this will help us with registration and security at the event. However, upon pre-booking your tickets via Eventbrite you will immediately receive an e-receipt which can be used for your reference.
Why am I being asked for a donation?
We are suggesting a donation from £10 per person attending the Service to help towards the costs of running the event. The RAF Association relies on the support and generosity of our members, the public and supporters in generating funds to help the RAF family when they are in need. If those attending the Service contribute to the costs of running the event you are helping us ensure that no-one in the RAF family faces suffering, poverty or loneliness.
