The RAF Association and the RAF Benevolent Fund were two of the major contributors to the recent refurbishment of a Newcomers Club at RAF Halton.
The club was opened at the Recruit Training Squadron and provides a vital place of recuperation for Phase 1 trainees following the stresses of training.
The RAF Association sponsored the project by providing all of the furniture and the money raised by the Association amounted to the single most significant activity in money donated for the year.
The project took approximately 18 months to complete, with bar and coffee facilities installed, along with a Spar Shop to create an all-in-one facility to cater for all recruits’ needs.
Donate to keep projects like this going right now!
