To ensure that anyone in the RAF family who needs us feels part of the community, Befrienders provide social visits to clients’ homes, offering friendship and alleviating loneliness.
Volunteers in this role take a lead in setting up collections in the community and help to motivate and manage other fundraising volunteers.
Whether it’s supporting a street collection or helping out at an event, this team is always good fun to be part of.
Storybook Wings helps families feel closer by allowing parents to record a special story and message for their children while they are working away from home. Our volunteer editors add sound effects and music to create a professional and treasured keepsake for the child to enjoy.
Branch volunteers are at the heart of the Association. Whether it’s running the bar, managing accounts, supporting a fundraising event or helping out with administration, we couldn’t function without them.
Supporting our presence at various events throughout the UK, Event Assistants help to set up stands, speak to the public about our work and help to build the awareness of the charity.
