We need you to grab a collection bucket, get your free t-shirt and join serving RAF personnel in the streets of a city near you.
Everyone who puts a donation in your bucket gets a free roundel pin, they’re pretty special.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
It’s really simple, we just want you to hold a collection bucket and give out roundel pins to everyone who puts a donation into the bucket.
We’ll pay for a bite to eat and a drink and cover reasonable travel expenses.

The RAF is coming to cities across the UK, so make a day or a stay of it.
Get a group of friends, colleagues or family together – the more the merrier.
*These cities are part of the amazing RAF static aircraft tour. The RAF will be out in force – especially in London.

Where do I register?
To register click here and complete the RAF100 Appeal fundraising volunteer
registration form including selecting any city location(s) and shifts you wish to
support. If you would rather register over the phone please call 0800 018 2361
where a member of the team shall complete the registration form with you.
What if I am currently serving in the RAF?
If you are currently serving RAF personnel, you should apply as per the RAF A1 Manning volunteers webpage.
RAF personnel who have volunteered at previous events have reported they really enjoy the experience. The more help we receive the greater amount we will collect for the RAF100 Appeal.
Will I get regular updates?
Regular updates will be sent out via email and there will be lots of additional event information available online for you to read and keep up to date with.
You will be sent attendance information and event information in a weeks or two prior to you chosen event day/date.
I signed up online but have not heard anything yet. What do I do?
If you have signed up online and provided an email address, you should get an email confirming your attendance and joining instructions. If you have not given us your email address and would like information, please call 0800 018 2361.
Is there a meeting point before the collection?
We ask all fundraisers to meet at the ‘collection hub’ in the city that you will be collecting in. This information will be in your joining instructions. At this location you will be met by an event team leader.
You will be given an event briefing and the required equipment to undertake your collection.
Will I be collecting by myself?
No – we will be getting as many people as possible to our RAF100 Appeal city collections. All fundraisers will work in groups with RAF100 Appeal branded buckets and identity cards that give you authority to collect. You will be collecting at various assigned points across your chosen city.
What do I need to bring with me?
We will provide everything you need for the collection. You may be outside so please wear appropriate clothing. Refreshments will be provided for those collecting over more than one shift. There won’t be somewhere to store valuables, so we suggest you only bring the bare essentials with you or if you must bring valuables, carry anything essential on your person.
Do I need to stand up the whole time?
Absolutely not – if you are uncomfortable at any point then please take a break at the collection hubs and sit down. It is important that you look after yourself while collecting.
What do I do with the money I collect after the collection?
You will be provided with a contact on the day, who will provide further instructions. Please leave the collection tin with a team member at your allocated collection hub. It will be counted and banked for you. We will send you an email thanking you for how much you raised
Falling ill or cannot make it
Please do contact the RAF Association’s Volunteer Project Coordinator or the volunteer team at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 0800 018 2361. In your message please state your name, the location and the shift time your were to support at.
Volunteer travel and subsistence
Travel and subsistence will made available for up to £20. This being set at £15 for travel and £5 for a meal. Please note that the meal monies / voucher is only available for volunteers who complete a full day’s shift. Volunteer expenses form will be made available.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
All money raised will go to the RAF100 Appeal and be shared between the RAF, RAF Association, RAF Benevolent Fund, RAF Charitable Trust and the RAF Museum. Join us and be a part of history.
