Completing the famous Great North Run is really something to celebrate, especially during its 40th year! When you take part in the 13.1 mile race, which is broadcast live on the BBC, you’ll be joining 55,000 runners on a stunning course.
This exhilarating run starts in Newcastle upon Tyne and passes some amazing sights including the iconic Tyne bridge and the South Shields coast.
We’re right behind you from day one
Whether this is your first half marathon or your 40th, we’ll be right with you from the moment you sign up, to help you get ready to run and to raise as much as you can.
We’ll send you a running pack with fundraising tips and training ideas and you’ll also receive an RAF Association running vest to wear on the day, so we can spot you from the side and cheer you on!
