Bremont
October 2017 saw a new partnership between the RAF Association and luxury British watch brand, Bremont, who launched a unique limited edition timepiece with parts of the proceeds going towards support for the RAF family. The watch incorporates original aluminium from a Supermarine Spitfire, a Bristol Blenheim and a Hawker Hurricane all of which flew during the battle of Britain as well as wood from a WWI SE5a within the rotor of the watch, creating a real piece of history on your wrist.
The Bremont 1918 watch is the platform for Bremont to demonstrate its support for the RAF Family, a cause close to the heart of the brand’s co-founders, brothers Nick and Giles English.
Nick English explains; “As a family and as a company we have had very close links to the RAF throughout our lives. My father, brother and I all learnt to fly with them, and the considerable work we do manufacturing custom watches for different military squadrons across the globe has only cemented this wonderful tie. 100 years of military aviation is a phenomenal milestone to reach and certainly one we couldn’t miss celebrating. To be working with the RAFA organisation is something that means a tremendous amount to Giles and me; we are thrilled that the Bremont 1918 can help support a charity which has done such an enormous amount in providing welfare and support to those who currently serve, and have previously served, in the RAF.”
