The following is the text of an email just received:

I am a film maker from Bristol who has spent the last 4 years working on a non-commercial film project that features George “Johnny” Johnson’s Dambuster story.

On July 6th, I have organized an event in Bath (St Swithin’s Church, The Paragon, start at 6pm) where Johnny will be attending to present his story, as well as, having some of his new film shown.

I will host the event and we will be showing a 15 minute “Making of” film that goes through why and how we made the film titled “Attack on the Sorpe Dam” which features a trailer to the film, as well as, an excerpt from the actual film. Johnny will then give a 45 minute presentation which is then followed by 30 minutes for questions and answers.

I was hoping you could help raise awareness of Johnny’s presentation by circulating the attached electronic leaflet within your organization.

Tickets are available at the Bath Box Office or Eventbrite.

Some of the proceeds from the event will be going to towards supporting the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Best regards,

Andrew Panton
