Phew! It’s the hottest day of the year and you can imagine I’m rather warm writing this blog about my recent adventures. Don’t worry though; I am keeping hydrated with long, cool glasses of water!
100 days with the RAF Baton Relay
When I think back to the 100th Birthday of the Royal Air Force on Sunday 1st April, I could never have visualised where it would take me or the lovely and amazing people I would meet as I joined the RAF Baton Relay team. Starting out from the Royal Courts of Justice to visit every corner of the RAF with the Baton Relay team has been a whirlwind 100 day adventure. I know what a lucky bear I am and Marjorie was thrilled to have news of the places I went. Each day she followed our adventures from the photos I posted on my Facebook and Twitter pages.
As our journey around the country was coming to an end, the talk was all about the special celebrations planned for 10 July and the #RAF100 Flypast, with over 100 Aircraft due to fly over Buckingham Palace in front of Her Majesty the Queen and members of the Royal Family. I was super excited about this day, especially because Marjorie was planning to join me so we could share the experience together.
