Warden

Dowding House Sheltered Housing Scheme

Starting Salary circa £11K
Plus Live In Accommodation

The RAF Association is a voluntary membership organisation employing some 170 people and providing care and support to retired and serving personnel from the RAF.

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Warden at Dowding House, a sheltered housing scheme situated in Moffat Dumfriesshire comprising 26 flats and communal facilities.  A two bedroom flat is provided rent free for the Warden.

The ideal candidate will have a caring nature with a mature outlook, good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with challenges as they arise.   Holders of a National Wardens certificate and First Aid certificate will have an advantage, but training, where necessary will be given.

Experience of working in a similar setting would be ideal.

Area Welfare Officer Eastern Office

A Unique Opportunity in Leicester

Starting Salary circa £23K

The Royal Air Forces Association is a National Service Charity providing a range of welfare support to serving and former members of the RAF and their entitled dependants

We are looking to appoint a full time Area Welfare Officer for our Eastern Office based in Leicester.  The successful candidate will be expected to have an administrative background preferably in social care and be able to manage a busy welfare caseload.

Knowledge of the Welfare Benefits System and AFCS would be an advantage as would an Armed Forces background. Ideally you will have experience of working with volunteers. Flexibility and the ability to travel throughout the East Midlands and East Anglia visiting clients are essential.  Applicants will also be required to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check.
