The RAF Association (RAFA) offers a range of employment opportunities around the UK, from management, administrative and clerical opportunities to welfare and care opportunities in one of our homes.
The Royal Air Forces Association is in the process of providing OCN accredited welfare training courses for its staff and 600 welfare volunteers, and seeks a qualified Training Co-ordinator to develop and facilitate the related specialist courses.
This demanding new post will require excellent organisational and leadership skills, allied to the ability to innovate and work unsupervised. It will involve frequent travel throughout the UK.
A training qualification is essential; a background in social care training and a knowledge of the RAF are both highly desirable.
The post will be based at RAFA Central Headquarters in Leicester and the successful post holder will have a sound knowledge of welfare benefits and National Minimum Care Standards. The ideal candidate should have good all round management and administrative skills, and be able to work under pressure.
RAFA provides welfare support to the wider RAF family from the youngest recruit to the oldest veteran. Services include respite homes, sheltered housing, community support and a range of services to the serving RAF.
The post involves regular travel throughout the UK with some overnight stays.

On the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Branch, Bridport & Lyme Regis RAFA Branch held a dinner and dance as part of their celebrations.
