Vic served during the war as an LAC (Clerk SD) in bases across the UK and Takoradi Air Base in the former Gold Coast. Vic met Eileen at Pontins Holiday Camp in Osmington and married in 1951. Eileen was a stalwart member of the Brentwood Operatic Society and Vic was a long suffering supporter of
Crystal Palace Football Club, needless to say Vic therefore was a truly dedicated person.
