It is vitally important that people write a Will and then keep it up to date as their circumstances and those of their loved ones change. Considering Inheritance Tax is vitally important if the tax value of your estate is more than £600,000. The rise in property values in recent years makes this relevant to many families.

RAF Association has introduced a half price Will Writing service in conjunction with the long established firm of solicitors Bond Pearce 

For £75 plus VAT you can have a simple Will written, for a couple the cost is £80 plus VAT.

To take advantage of this offer:

• Please call 0800 915 4650 and ask for the RAFA Will Writing service.
• You will be sent a form to complete to help you plan your affairs and intentions.
• A solicitor will telephone you to discuss the matter and then send you a Will to sign.

If your circumstances are complicated or if you wish to get advice on tax planning, you will be given an estimate of the likely costs.

In addition, the renowned firm of solicitors, Ambrose Appelbe, has joined with us to offer members a personal Will-writing service in London and Gloucestershire or further afield.  The cost of writing a simple Will for one person will be £70.00 + VAT and for a couple £120.00 + VAT*. 

Members living in the London area wishing to take up this offer will be invited to meet with Helen Freely, a partner, or Felix Appelbe, a consultant, in the private client department of Ambrose Appelbe, at the Lincoln’s Inn practice. 

Members living in Gloucestershire will be invited to meet Felix Appelbe, a consultant, at Owlpen, where he also farms and supports our work. 

For those members unable to travel easily, Helen and Felix can also arrange home and hospital visits (travel charged extra). 

Both Helen and Felix are members of Solicitors for the Elderly and have many years experience in dealing with Wills, Probate, Trusts and Tax, Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters and Charity matters.  They can advise on tax advantages available and also regularly advise on matters for people with disabilities, taking into account the State benefits that are available to them.
