Over 180,000 tickets were loaded into a Fraser Nash Gun turret, which is believed to have come from a wartime Sterling aircraft, in The Pathfinder Museum at RAF Wyton, and the Guest of Honour, invited to draw the ticket for the 1st prize of a SAAB 93 (or alternative cash prize) was 96 year old, Sqn Ldr Patrick Carden DFC, himself a WWII pathfinder pilot on Lancasters on 582 Squadron.

The RAF Association cover the whole RAF family from the youngest recruit to the oldest veteran, and with Patrick fitting the upper age category, the younger membership was represented by SAC Amy Jones, JARIC, RAF Brampton and Pilot Officer Tim Barry from No 2 Squadron. Also on hand to select the winning tickets was the Station Commander, Gp Capt Gordon Bruce.
