Invaluable help not only comes to us via the generous donations of cash we receive, but also from the kind donations of time that people freely give to us. We have huge appreciation for our force of volunteers who, every year, give up their time to help us.
If you can spare a few hours, days, or more – regularly or occasionally – we’d love to hear from you, and there are many ways that you can become involved as a Royal Air Forces Association volunteer.
The Wings Appeal team will be visiting air shows and events around the country throughout the year to raise money and awareness of the Wings Appeal. Each event needs around 30 people to staff the exhibition units. The volunteers we need are RAF personnel, air cadets, branch members and members of the public. The day involves everything from making goodie bags to face painting and distributing leaflets.
Every year our members and volunteers make a real difference by holding Wings Appeal collections in public places, such as supermarkets and high streets, across the country.
