The RAF Association’s Wings Appeal runs a number of organised challenge events that people can take part in and experience the adventure of a lifetime while raising money at the same time. From climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to running the London Marathon, there is a great range of events to choose from for people of all abilities.
Every single one of our volunteers can make a real difference to the lives of the people we help. And people can volunteer their time in a number of different ways – from volunteering at air shows and events, helping out at our respite care homes, assisting with Wings Appeal collections, editing stories through our Storybook Wings project to offering specialist skills for a day.
Legacy gifts are vitally important in enabling us to continue our work. There are many different types of legacy gift and people can donate as little or as much as they can afford, so that their families still, rightly, remain their major beneficiaries.
All the money made from any purchase made in our online shop goes directly towards helping improve the lives of serving and former RAF personnel and their families.
